X Factor star Rebecca Ferguson’s children ask fans to vote for their mum in semi-final

X Factor Star Rebecca Ferguson is being cheered on by her children Lillie May(6) and Karl(4)
X FACTOR Rebecca Ferguson’s children today asked fans to vote for their mummy in this weekend’s eagerly-anticipated semi-final.
Little cuties Lillie May, six, and Karl, four, have spent every weekend of the past two months backstage watching their mum battle it out in the live ITV talent show. Watch Lillie May's video good luck message to her mum by clicking here.
The ECHO spent yesterday afternoon with the youngsters at their dad Karl Dures’s Everton home, ahead of their trip to London today.
Speaking exclusively to the paper, Rebecca’s ex-boyfriend, and dad to her two children, talked about how Lillie May and Karl are loving their mum being in the spotlight – and how Rebecca was dealing with the mounting pressure ahead of tonight’s “Club Classics” performances.
Bricklayer Karl, 25, said: “We’re dead proud of her. We’re wishing her loads of luck and have been phoning her every day.
“With them being kids it just goes over their heads, but they are loving all the attention. They’ve got loads more mates at school and their teachers are talking to them about their mum being on X Factor.
“Lil’ and Karl have been going down every weekend to watch her backstage and they love it.
“They’re having a great time. All the acts are really good with the kids. They like seeing the boys from One Direction, they joke with Harry and call him ‘girly hair’ because of his curly hair. They can’t get how she’s on telly, they want to go in there with her.  “Becky’s nervous with it being the semi-final, she just doesn’t know which way the votes are going.

“You didn’t expect some of the acts to go out before Wagner, but they did, so you just don’t know what to expect.”
He added: “My family and I took the kids away to Florida and when we came back Becky got through to Cheryl Cole’s house.
“I was only back for four days and went to work in Australia and she went through to the live shows. We were made up.
“I was watching her every week on YouTube. When I went she was only just getting through, but when I came back everything had blown up. I’ve only been back home a week and when I go out with the kids people recognise them as Rebecca’s children, it’s really funny.
“Becky’s been brilliant. No-one has a bad word to say about her, everyone loves her.”
Not so long ago, Huyton-born Rebecca, who lives in Anfield, was a young mum studying at Bootle’s Hugh Baird College to become a legal secretary and give her children a better life.
Now she is a top-five finalist in one of the nation's biggest and most loved talent shows, The X Factor.
This year was her third time at auditioning and Rebecca’s family went to the Manchester auditions to support her.
Her biggest fans, Lillie May and Karl, will be joined by Karl’s sister, Becky, and brother, Craig, tonight to cheer her on in the life-changing contest.
